The APTTA was formed in 1984 and consists of branch associations in WA, SA, Vic, NSW, Qld, and New Zealand, with a combined membership totaling over 300 piano technicians. Conventions are held every two years, with the most recent in Adelaide, of July 2004. These conventions give Australasian piano technicians an opportunity to gather and exchange the latest information and skills in piano technology and servicing. We also meet socially to renew friendships, and to decide upon new directions for the improvement of the association, which provides a more comprehensive knowledge of customer's pianos and their individual needs. It is our aim to make the customer experience second to none.
Please feel free to browse this site for information, such as answers to the most common questions in the FAQ's section, our recent achievements, and details of our upcoming Conventions. You will also find an up to date membership list for each of our branches within Australia and New Zealand to help you locate and contact an accredited (see ARPT defined) piano tuner/technician in your area.
